Pictures that Make Me Laugh~ my collection

French Fest! Best day of the year! Drink, eat, shop; and not have to worry about seeing people you know! The world doesn't know what their missing in Cape Vincent.

Bath Time! Morris stands there and watches the whole time, like he's teasing her.

This is my aunt, and my cousin. Their dancing.

This is me and my best friend Candace. Every year at French Fest, people end up getting pictures of us with the wierdest faces

My sister and I playing cards @ camp during my aunt and I's camera war. Our faces are funny because were playing SkipBo, yet we look so serious!

This is my brother. Its a pisture of a picture. We were at Hampton Beach, and my brother refused to put sun screen on bc he, "Needed to get some color." He got color! A LOT of color! my sister snook out and snapped this while he was sleeping. She tried to get one with my camera too, but before she could snap it she fell to the floor laughing and he woke up..not too happy!

This is my sister! She thinks she can sing, but her voice is a bit out of tune. Here, were in Hampton Beach again, stuck inside on a rainy day. So she decided to make the best of it and work on her voice!

I LOVE IT..."Which of the following is the largest: elephant...moon?"

Devalued Objects

I wasn't sure how I wanted to approach this assignment. 2 years ago, my fiance and I bought our first house. We needed many things, but had little money to spend on these things. As word got out, we began getting so many offers we had to turn some down. I was surprised how many people just have things sitting around, 'taking up space.'
So I went around my house taking pictures of things that lost their value to others, but gained value from our needs.
This was my dad's old couch that sat in his spare bedroom, being used as a giant scratching post for his cat.

You know that saying, If it seems too good to be true, it probably is? Well, thats the story behind our dishwasher. It stopped working about 2 weeks after we got it. When my mom told me it was fifteen years old, it explained the 'great deal'. However it wasn't a complete loss, it now serves as a cat-food stand, as well as kitchen storage!

My dog, Peanut, loves stuffed animals. So instead of spending money on a toy that will be torn apart within seconds, I go through the 2 huge bags of stuffed animals my mom held on to from when I was young.

These 2 pictures are of our kitchen table and chairs. Denny's uncle works for a furniture company, and this was a set that was returned because, I think there was a scratch or something. We got it free! I love it, the base of the table is my favorite part of the set!

These 2 pictures are the same chair. Friends of our were in the process of buying new furniture for their living room, and gave us this chair. It was kind of ugly, but it did the job, and it was really comfy. Nothing a chair cover couldn't fix, or in this case, a fitted twin sheet!

This piece of art working was something my step mom had in her garage sale pile before she moved in with my dad. I had to have it.

This basket is at the top of our list for 'Best Garbage Picks' My mom and I were on our way somewhere when we noticed this in someones trash pile. So we got it. It was in great shape, and I use it to hold so many things. I really don't understand how it could loose its value!

This was another garage sale item from my step mom. This was something I never thought she would get rid of, but I always wanted! It's one of those objects that makes you look twice.

This is my favorite. I got this mirror at the Christmas Tree Shop the first time I went to buy 'something' for our new house. I had it resting against the wall in the living room for a few weeks; thinking the weight wouldn't let it move. My cat, morris, was playing fetch one night when the ball he was chasing got stuck between the frame and the floor. It broke; it cracked. I brought it out to the porch, but couldn't bring myself to throw it away. The movement of the cracks reminded me of something, I just couldn't place what. I used bubble paint and began following the cracks in the glass. This is what I ended up with. I wasn't sure if it was finished or not, but I liked how it almost looked like the branches should have continued, but didn't, creating that uncertainty on whether or not it really was finished.

11th Hour

Watching the 11th Hour was pretty sad. Watching how heart less people can be in the decisions they make; and the fact that they don't acknowledge what they are doing as wrong, is scary. I feel as individuals, we can each do our part, but after this, I feel as a society it's almost an impossible attempt. Money has dominated morals and life; what's life without somewhere to live it? The video with the seal continues to run through my mind everyday, no matter how much I try and get the image out of my head, the truth is, its there and its happening. To see a human being smile with pleasure as he abuses an animal, a living breathing creature; makes me sick. Guarantee if it were the other way around, he wouldn't be laughing. Things are continuing to get worse. Those who acknowledge this make changes, but those who don't, don't care. It doesn't take much from the individual. It's the little things in our own lives that can make a difference. However, I'm afraid one interviewer in the movie was correct. As long as theres oil, theres global warming. Mobile brings into our country, I believe he said, $9 billion per year. Why would our government pass that up for the world?

11th Hour Photos

He lives in my basement. I don't like spiders, but I don't like killing them either. Their part of nature, and as long as their eating bugs, and not me, I'm ok with that!
I've passed this building almost every other day for 7 years. Not once have I driven past without smoke pouring out of the tower, polluting our air. Kind'a makes me wonder if they notice??

This was in my mom's backyard. She lives in Fayetteville, a small village outside of Syracuse. There's woods behind her house, which is home for many animals. The turkey's and deer are always running around, but the most recent addition...coyotes. (In the paper the other day, a man from Fayetteville hung meat outside of his house, and set up a motion sensor camera. That night the coyotes showed up, ate the meat, and got caught on camera)

This tree has been here for over 90 years. Its been dead for at least 10. It's such a tall and unique looking tree, and luckly it's on my dad's property, so it stays.

My favorite.
